Guitarist and songwriter in Manchester

So, in my bedroom in those ‘ugly new houses’
I dance my legs down to the knees.
— The Smiths, Paint a Vulgar Picture

Richard is a guitarist and songwriter based in Manchester.  With influences stretching from the Smiths, Van Halen and Kraftwerk, to the Libertines, Metronomy, Scofield and Prince, he started playing at the age of seven.

Soon, he was studying guitar and composition at the Royal Northern College of Music's Junior School.  At 14, he got his first electric -- and rock, punk, metal, and jazz entered the equation.

He's studied with some of the finest rock, fusion and jazz players in the UK and the US, including Martin Goulding, Tom Quayle, Nik Harrison, Mike Walker and David Fiuczynski.

Versatile, passionate and meticulous, he's available for musical collaborations of every kind.
